First week of November was busy

The week started out slowly, but on Wednesday I was the featured artist at Southern Appalachian Brewery http://www.sabrewery.com for the Jazz night run by Jason DeCristofaro https://jasondecristofaro.bandcamp.com. Played a bunch of standards including a nice rendition of Naima with the band.

On Thursday I picked up my guitar from Area 22 Guitars https://www.area22guitars.com – a great boutique shop in Brevard – after getting some warranty work done.

Then on Friday I had a fun duo gig with Mark Guest https://fandalism.com/markguest at Mars Landing Galleries https://marslandinggalleries.com in Mars Hill.

Saturday was a corporate gig in Huntersville with Cythina McDermott https://www.mandocynmusic.com and the Gypsy Grass crew.

Then two gigs on Sunday. First was the weekly duo hang with Bob Songster on bass https://www.facebook.com/bob.songster , followed by a Gatsby birthday Party for Ken – one of the biggest supporters of swing music and dance in Asheville. I played with a configuration of Queenbee and the HoneyLovers https://www.queenbeeswing.com but we were lacking Queenbee Whitney herself. Whitney wasn’t feeling great so Mattick https://directory.ashevillemusicprofessionals.com/mattickfrickmusic and I traded off singing duties while Trevor https://www.facebook.com/trevor.stoia/ held down the bass, and Finn https://andrewfinnmagill.com tore it up on fiddle.

So it ended up being a busy and musically thrilling week and as a result, this blog post has the most links of any blog post I have ever written.
